Question: 261 a system undergoing a power cycle develops a steady...
Question details
2.61
A system undergoing a power cycle develops a steady power output of 1000 kW while receiving energy input by heat transfer at a rate of 2400 Btu/h. Determine the thermal efficiency and the total amount of energy developed by work, kW · h, for 1 full year of operation.
(Please show work including unit conversions. I am a bit confused if 1000kw = W or W_cycle. and 2400 btu/hr should be Qin 0.703KW from what I am understanding, so this means 1000KW=.703KW - W ? or W_cycle=.703KW - 1000KW, either way my thermos effiency is way off the charts not making any sense. Please help. Thank you.)
