The dead load of the canopy support structure (including roofing membrane, metal decking, wood and aluminum panels, and self-weight of steel beams) is 35 psf. Determine the axial load in one of the steel rod.
2b) Assuming that the allowable tensile capacity (Ft) of the steel is 22 ksi, determine the minimum required diameter of steel rod that can safely support the canopy shown above. (Round your answer to the nearest ¼”)
