The evacuated tank is 80% the volume of the other tank. The valve is opened and the steam flows into the evacuated tank until equilibrium of P and T prevails. Hint: you can solve this problem using transient analysis equations and coupling the inlet & exit flows, but it is easier to solve by treating as a composite (both tanks) closed system! If the steam pressure at the end of the process is 2 bars, determine a.) the final temperature (°C), b.) the heat transfer during this process (kJ), and c.) the entropy change of the steam (kJ/K).
