The workpiece rotates at 500rpm, feed is 0.4 mm/rev for roughing and 0.1mm/rev for finishing and maximum depth of cut is 2mm. The parting off operation occurs after the external turning operation. The radial feed is 0.1mm/rev, the parting allowance is 5 mm and the minimum gripping length is 50mm.

A) Provide minimum length of the workpiece before machining.
