can everyone explain (1) to me as i dont understand the logic behind the comparison test
how did the author use comparison test in this case?
since there are sum of convergent series here,,,,the final result might not be convergent...
(sum n 1/n^2 -1/2n^4 ...
= sum 1/n^2 - sum 1/2n^4 +.....) ( there are many convegent sum 1/Kp n^p where p=2,4...)
and also why (2) is true
