Question: bis3hydroxy2methyl4pyronatocopperii copperii chloride dehydrate 25g was dissolved in 50 ml...
Question details
Bis-(3-hydroxy-2-methyl-4-pyronato)Copper(II)
Copper(II) chloride dehydrate 2.5g was dissolved in 50 mL of
water in continuous stirring until dissolve. In a separate beaker
3.1g of Maltol was dissolved in 150 mL of water, and the solution
were mixed. 2M Sodium hydroxide 15 mL was added dropwise to bring
the pH to 7.5 and the mixture was stirred until a green flaky
precipitate was formed. The product was then filtered and dried
under reduced pressure. The obtained yield for
Bis-(3-hydroxy-2-methyl-4-pyronato)Copper(II) was 18.5g. Calculate
