Hi, I have a homework question on the topic of simultaneous equations, which insists that I complete the following question using the elimination method. I am having trouble working it out using this method. The question is

 

y-2x=10  (1)

4x+3=y   (2)

 

Can you please explain it to me in some detail so I can see why I couldn't get. Thanks.
