Question: hi this week i have some tutorial work to do...

Question details

Hi, this week I have some tutorial work to do on ratios. I have a few questions here which I am not too sure on how to do them, one of which I have posted below. This topic is always one that is a bit hard for me to understand, so if you could, I'd prefer working out and explanation where necessary. Note: This is a mathematics question on ratios and proportion and not a physics question related to Newton.

Thank you for your help :)

If the force of attraction between two bodies is inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them.

(a) Set up the proportionality relationship.

(b) If two bodies 5cm apart have an attractive force of 16.8N(Newtons), how far apart are they, if the force between them is 8.5N? (Round your final answer to 2dp.)
