Capture images of the cerebellum at different magnifications and with the different staining techniques. Your images should show the arrangement of the grey and white matter in the cerebellum. Label the three layers of the cerebellar cortex: Molecular layer, Purkinje cell layer and Granular layer. Label the white matter.
(these are what I've captured but I haven't labelled the 3 layers)
b) Does the molecular layer contain the axons or dendrites of the purkinje cells?
c) Specifically view the images of the cerebellum stained with Silver.
Purkinje cells receive more synaptic input than any other cell in the brain.
Therefore, what would you expect their dendritic tree to look like?
Capture and label a high power view of the purkinje cells.
d) Does the arrangement of the grey and white matter in the cerebellum differ from that in the spinal cord? If so, how?
