The FIR filter is composed of a cascade of two h1 [rn) v[n : yin] subfilters hi In) and h2n]. The output of the first subfilter is denoted by vn], which is used as input for the second subfilter. The realization scheme of the first subfilter is also shown in the figure Evaluate u[n] for n =-1, 0, function u[n]-n(n-3], with u[n] the unit step , 6 when z[n] a. b. Now the impulse response of the second subfilter is given by: h2nad n] +bon -1]+ 201n-2] while the output y[n] can be described by the following Difference Equation: yn 2n]-n -1] -rn 22n-3. Calculate the unknown parameters a and b.

I have provided the worked-out solution of the problem. Nonetheless, I would like it to be much more detailed so that I can understand every step which is given. Note that it is my very first problem with FIR filters. I rate max :).
