Question: in induction motor and synchronous generator i want to understand...

Question details
In induction motor and synchronous generator, i want to understand why there is an opposing torque, when considering the induction motor, there will be torque on the rotor due to rotation but why there is must be opposing torque in the system and how does it come? and for the synchronous generator when the rotor rotate at synchronous speed so it provides the same frequency to stator, why when the load is increased the current is increased and hence the opposing torque will increase? What is that opposing torque? Only the rotor is rotating from where the opposing torque comes?
