Question details

It is not necessary to make a whole liter to make a molar solution as long as the proportions are maintained. One can make a 1 molar solution by weighing out 1 mole of the solute and dissolving it in 1 liter of solution, or by weighing out 1/2 of a mole of the substance and putting it in 1/2 liter (500 ml) of solution, or by weighing out 1/4 of a mo of the solute and putting it in 1/4 liter (250 ml), or by weighing out 1/10 of a mole of th solute and putting it in 1/10 liter (100 ml) of solution.
