We are working in Simulated medical office. We use software Medilink for billing and accounting. Our billing methods are – medicare bulk billing, private health insurance, workcover, DVA and TAC One of our main duties is billing the patients for the service we provide. We have been working on the Accounting system ( Medilink software ) in our simulated office. We medical officer workers have to keep a record keeping system of the various accounting processes – like medicare vouchers, Private health insurance invoices, Workcover, DVA and TAC, we scan them to patient records as well as file away hard copies. The payment systems are direct debit for a private insurance, medicare payments, cash payments, credit card payments. Some of our patients don’t pay promptly for the services. Our clinic incurs debt. We have a tolerance for some debt, if the patient is too poor and can’t pay, the doctor waves their consultation fee. We have some payment options and plans. We have to put in place a debt recovery plan. At the same time, we have to create a cash flow budget so that the practice is making money to be viable
