The restoring force constant k for the vibrations of the interatomic spacing of a diatomic molecule is about 103 Jm 2. Use this value along with the mass of the molecule, 4.1 x 10 26 kg to estimate the frequency range in which electromagnetic radiation associated with transitions between low lying vibrational states of the molecule is observed.

Little confused about what this question wants by saying frequency range.

The things I believe I know are as follows.

E=h*f(1/2+n)

and k=mw^2=4*m*pi^2*f^2

Could solve the 2nd equation for f, and then plug it into the equation for E to find the energy of the ground state and the first few excited states, but this doesn't help me find a frequency range.
