Question: outcome can i explain the relationship between points of intersection...

Question details

Outcome “Can I explain the relationship between points of intersection of geometric objects and solutions to simultaneous equations?”

1.     Find the point (s) of intersection of:

a)     The line with gradient 4 and y-intercept 32 and the line passing through the points (–4,2) and (1, –3)

b)     The line parallel to 2x + 3y – 5 = 0 and passing through the point (-2,5) and the line perpendicular to 2x + 3y – 5 = 0 and passing through the point (–1, –2)

c)    The line 3x – y – 9 = 0 and the parabola y = 2x2 – 5x – 1

d) The parabolas y = 3x2 + 4x + 1 and  13y = (x – 2)2 – 1

** I've already posted this but I forget to fill in the fractions, I didn't know how to do it at first, so I left them out and only realised later. **
