1. Find the point (s) of intersection of:

a) The line with gradient 4 and y-intercept $\frac{3}{2}$ and the line passing through the points (–4,2) and (1, –3)

b) The line parallel to 2x + 3y – 5 = 0 and passing through the point (-2,5) and the line perpendicular to 2x + 3y – 5 = 0 and passing through the point (–1, –2)

c) The line 3x – y – 9 = 0 and the parabola y = 2x^{2} – 5x – 1

d) The parabolas y = 3x^{2} + 4x + 1 and $\frac{1}{3}y$ = (x – 2)^{2} – 1
