The two shafts are made of A-36 steel. Each has a diameter of 25 mm and they are connected using the gears fixed to their ends. Their other ends are attached to fixed supports at A and B. They are also 3. supported by journal bearings at Cand D, which allow free rotation of the shafts along their axes a. If a torque of 500 Nm is applied to the gear at E as shown, determine the reactions at A and B, and the rotation of the gear at E b. If another shaft, with the same properties and dimensions as FB, is connected directly above gear F, what will now be the reactions at A and B, and the rotation of the gear at E? (Note that this shaft is directly above FB, connected to it via gear G. Lets call it GI, with H as the bearing support) 50 mm 0.75 m 100 mm 500 N m 1.5 m
