Pre-Lab #5 Skeletal Muscles

Diagram (or obtain an unlabeled digital image of) and label the muscles below. This can be done on images of the body with muscles already diagrammed on the image but you need to label them yourself.

  • For each muscle complete the following tasks for Pre-Lab #5.
    • Identify/label the muscle, its bone of insertion and origin, as well as one type of movement it is involved in. (This could be done separate than the image and placed in a table.)
  • As you study the muscles you should identify whether you are able to see these on images of models or cadavers.

    • Connective tissue coverings over muscles; are separated on the thigh and lower leg
