When the viscometer is rotated with torque T, the angular velocity of the uppen disk, Ω, is measured Assuming a linear velocity profile in the fluid film from lower to upper surface, derive an expression for fluid viscosity μ as a function of (T, R, h, Ω). a. b. A viscometer of radius 6 cm an d gap thickness of h-1 mm requires a torque of 0.5 N-m to spin the upper disk at 800 rpm. Determine the viscosity of the fluid. In the discussion section, look at the fluids property handout and hypothesize what fluid might have been tested in the viscometer. For a given fluid, how does the torque increase if the radius of the viscometer is doubled?
