The inner diameter of the ring has a dimension (with tolerance limits) of 120+0.006 and the shaft has an outer diameter of 120+0030 Assume both materials to be made from hot-rolled steel (E 210 GPa, 9- 0.3, SYT 280 MPa) Calculate (1) the maximum and minimum interference values; (2) Interfacial pressure p corresponding to the above values; (3) the stress state at the most critical location in both the members corresponding to the maximum interfacial-pres sure condition; (4) the maximum force needed to disengage the members (for specifying on the disassembly-instructions sheet). Assume the coefficient of static friction in the axial direction to be 0.25; (5) (6) (6) the axial-load capacity of the couplings. Assume coefficient of static friction in the axial direction to be 0.23; the torque capacity of the couplings.
