Respond to the discussion below The responses should focus on furthering the discussion of life and love as part of salvation in John’s writings.
Therefore Jesus said again " Very truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep". All who have come before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep have not listened to them. I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. John 10:7-10 (NIV)
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe in the name of God's one and only son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God. John 3:16-21 (NIV)
God in his love and grace offers us salvation from sin and death. I picked John 10:7-10 and John 3:16-21 to explain life and love. These both relate to salvation because God is giving you the option to have faith and believe and he will look past all your bad to grant you salvation.
