Question: the abundance of thorium 232th and radium 228 228ra its...

Question details

The abundance of Thorium (232Th) and Radium 228 (228Ra), its daughter product, have been used to date rocks.  Someone gave me a rock that they said had been collected from the ocean’s crust.  I found that there were 3000 atoms of  232Th and 200 atoms of 228Ra in the sample.  How old is my rock? (Assume that the 228Ra does not further decay for the purposes of this assignment).  Is this rock oceanic crust?  Why or why not?
