1. The electrical circuit shown in Figure 1 consists of an inductor L, a resistor R, a switch S, and a battery with a constant voltage E. The switch is open for t 0, i.e., there is no current in the circuit for t<0. At t 0, the switch S is closed. 1) Obtain a mathematical model of this circuit, and solve the time response i(t). Note that E is a constant and i(0) -0, i.e., the current i is zero at the instant that switch Sis closed. Hint: Note that voltage E is a constant.
