Draw the free body diagram and derive the equations of motion in polar coordinates (r,0). Note that there are equations that represent balance of forces in both r and θ coordinates . derive both. Assume that gravity and friction are the only forces acting on pendulum and that the friction is proportional to the angular velocity o. Furthermore, assume that the mass of the rod is negligible compared to the bob. /3
