Water enters a double-pipe heat exchanger at 60 degC. The water flows on the inside through a copper tube of 2.54-cm-ID at an average velocity of 2 cm/s. Steam flows in the annulus and condenses on the outside of the copper tube at a temperature of 90 deg C. The heat exchanger is 9 m long. (1) Is the flow laminar or turbulent? (2) Can the flow be considered as fully-developed? (3) Calculate the outlet temperature of water.
