Water is to be moved from a pressurized large tank (A) in which air pressure is 200 kPa (gage pressure) to a large tank (B) which is opened to atmosphere. The two tanks are connected by two pipes, pipe-1 has 200mm diameter and pipe-2 has 100 mm and both have same length of 200m. The entrance to and exit from both pipes are sharp and the friction coefficient f 0.04 Determine: 1) The total flow rate of water when h-20m. 2) If the two pipes are replaced by a single pipe of 250mm Pipe 2 Pipe 1 diameter and of the same length, calculate the new flow rate and the percentage of its change compared with the 200m previous case
